Film Federation of India Delegation Meets West Bengal Principal Secretary for Information & Culture

Kolkata: The Film Federation of India (FFI) held a significant meeting with Shri Santanu Basu IAS, Principal Secretary and Secretary for Information & Culture, Government of West Bengal, in Kolkata. The discussions focused on key aspects of the Indian film industry and potential collaborations to boost film-related activities.

The delegation, led by FFI President Firdausul Hasan, included industry experts who shared valuable insights into various facets of film production, permissions, tourism, and single-window services. Dr. Sandeep Marwah provided an in-depth briefing on the operations of Noida Film City and extended an invitation to the Principal Secretary to visit Noida Film City and Marwah Studios to witness firsthand how the industry is organized.

During the meeting, several crucial topics were discussed, including film shooting regulations, streamlining permission processes, and enhancing film tourism initiatives. Shri Santanu Basu appreciated the delegation’s efforts in providing comprehensive and authentic information. He assured the members of his commitment to working on the subject without delay.

The interaction marked a constructive step towards fostering stronger collaborations between the film industry and government bodies, aiming to create a more efficient and film-friendly environment in India.
