Fashion Show Depicting Indian Film Industry Shines at 17th Global Film Festival

Noida, 29th December: A dazzling fashion show celebrating the evolution of the Indian film industry was the highlight of the 17th Global Film Festival, held at Marwah Film City. The students and faculty of the AAFT School of Fashion and Design captivated the audience with their extraordinary presentation, showcasing garments inspired by different eras of Indian cinema.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the AAFT School of Fashion and Design, congratulated the participants for their outstanding performance. “The creativity and effort put into this show are remarkable. The garments, paired with iconic film songs as background music, beautifully captured the essence of India’s cinematic journey, adding glamour and grandeur to the event,” he said.

The show was graced by His Excellency Arunkoemar Hardien, Ambassador of Suriname, as the Chief Guest, and João Ribeirete, Director of the Portuguese Cultural Centre, as the Guest of Honour.

Special guests were honored with mementos of the festival in recognition of their presence and contribution. The distinguished guests included: Ankit Nagpal, Soumen Dutta, Jezzica Singh, Neena Chhabra, Dr. Neha Kapoor, Kapil Kapoor, Megha Jain, Varun Jhamb, Means Malhotra, Dr. Kajal Suri, Dr. Akanksha Priya Jain, Sanjana Mehra, Rashmi Chhabra, Shivani Sharma Singh, Payal Chaudhary, Muskaan Gairola, Lovely Arora, Abdul Dewale Mohammed, and Amish Marfatia.

The event demonstrated the creative excellence of AAFT’s budding designers while paying homage to the rich heritage of Indian cinema. It also reinforced the Global Film Festival’s commitment to fostering artistic talent and celebrating cultural diversity.
