AAFT Upgrades Training Infrastructure with Fully Equipped OB Van on International Journalism Day. Noida Film City, India: In a landmark development for media education in India, Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) unveiled a fully loaded and well-equipped Outside Broadcasting (OB) Van for advanced student training at Marwah Studios. The grand inauguration took place on 12th February – International Journalism Day, during the prestigious Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 202

This state-of-the-art OB Van, equipped with advanced production consoles, multi-camera setups, live switching systems, audio engineering panels, satellite communication technology, and real-time broadcasting facilities, marks a historic milestone. It is recognized as the first-ever dedicated OB Van by any educational institution in India exclusively for student training purposes.

The initiative is aimed at providing hands-on exposure to students of journalism, television production, digital media, and broadcast technology—bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practice.

Addressing the media and distinguished guests present on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, stated: “Practical training is the backbone of professional education. With the introduction of this fully equipped OB Van, AAFT has elevated its training standards to an entirely new level. This initiative will empower our students with real-time broadcasting experience and prepare them to meet global industry demands with confidence.”

Dr. Marwah further emphasized that celebrating International Journalism Day with such a transformative addition reinforces AAFT’s commitment to innovation in media education and its continuous effort to create world-class infrastructure for young aspirants. The OB Van will now be integrated into live event coverage, sports broadcasting simulations, news production exercises, and field reporting assignments, giving students invaluable on-ground experience.

The inauguration was met with tremendous appreciation from media professionals, international delegates, faculty members, and students attending the festival, reaffirming AAFT’s position as a pioneer in media and entertainment education in India. With this historic launch, AAFT once again sets a benchmark in practical media training, strengthening Noida Film City’s reputation as a leading global center for creative and broadcast excellence.
