World Youth Skills Day Celebrated at AAFT University

New Delhi: “We are one of the oldest schools of skill development in India, it is now 27 years we have been training students to learn the skills related to films, television, media, fashion, design, animation, hospitality, tourism, still photography, journalism, PR Events and Advertising, performing arts, fine arts and management. We had realized much earlier that without knowing the arts and crafts of these businesses youth will not be able to sustain in this field of competition,” said Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University and Ambassador of IHRO in a webinar addressing youth of the country.

The World Youth Skills Day is an opportunity for young people, technical and vocational education and training institutions, and public and private sector stakeholders to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.

“World Youth Skills Day 2020 today is being celebrated in a challenging context. The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown measures have led to the worldwide closure of technical and vocational education and training institutions, threatening the continuity of skills development. We are devising new methods of training and have to adopt them till Corona Virus is out of our daily routine exercises,” added Dr. Marwah who is also Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

AAFT University has launched new courses and revised old courses to suit to the current environment of Covid 19.
