GFDW’19 FROM ACADEMIC POINT OF VIEW

The 3rd Global Fashion and Design Week 2019 is not only about fashion, it’s also about learning and experiencing on field work for the students of AAFT. Students have taken part immensely to make this event a huge success. Students of SOJMC,SOPRE,SOC,SOFD,SOPA and School of Still Photography are getting a golden opportunity to know how to work in the industry.

In SOJMC, students prepare News Letters and work as professionals. They not only get to know about the working and process of printing a newspaper but also they learn how to work as a Reporter.

For the students of SOPRE it’s very important to know how an event in planned and executed with ease and coordination. Through events like GFDW they get to learn about how events take place and the problems they might face in the industry.

Students of SOFD are the one who are most benefited by this event as they get a chance to showcase their talent and creativity through their designs. They have fashion shows to showcase their work.

Students of Still Photography get a chance to improve their photography skills by covering events for the news letter or for any other purpose. Moreover, it’s a great opportunity for the students of SOC and SOPA as most of the cultural programmes are done by them and they get a chance to showcase their talent.

Hence, events like GFDW turns out to be a source of learning for students of AAFT and it helps them to be prepared for all the consequences they might face in the industry
